Honor Guard Application Process

If you are interested in joining Honor Guard, please follow the steps below:

First Things First:

  1. Read the Honor Guard Mission, Vision, and Principles post very carefully. Make sure you understand and are comfortable with everything in that post.
  2. If you have any questions or concerns, message an officer in Agon: Freya DeArgus (Supreme General), Persefani Elleirion (Supreme General), Dagorian Strongveil (Supreme General), Torradan Dane (General). Ironbull LOH (Major), or Assio Meister (Major). We are always willing to talk to you.
Preparing to Join:

  1. Register on this site to create a forums account. You will receive an activation email, so check your junk mail just in case it's routed there. Although you will not gain access to additional forums immediately, we will be able to begin the recruitment process. Note: When creating a forums account, make sure to use your player name exactly as it is listed in game, first name and last name.
  2. Apply to the clan in game by selecting Clans, Browse Clans, and searching for Honor Guard.
  3. All Honor Guard members must use Ventrilo to at least hear other members talking. Make sure that you have the Ventrilo client installed.
  4. Within two days of completing these steps, a senior officer will contact you to set up a time to talk on Ventrilo. At that meeting, barring anything that might change your mind or give our senior officers cause for concern, you will be admitted to the clan as a recruit.
Life as a Recruit:

More information will be shared with you during your meetings with clan officers. This is just a brief overview of what you can expect during your first few weeks in the clan. Honor Guard implements a relatively long initial promotion period wherein you progress from recruit to Private and then up through the ranks to Captain.

Recruits are not official members of the clan. This is a trial period that gives you and us a chance to see whether Honor Guard is the right clan for you. Typically, new members spend at least two weeks as recruits. During that time, it often becomes clear whether they should continue with the clan or take another path. During these first weeks, here is what we expect of all recruits:

  1. If you are new to Agon, complete your starter quests, complete at least one racial quest, and increase your gathering skills. Depending on where you begin, you may be adventuring alone for a bit during these first few days, but ask plenty of questions on Vent and in clan chat as you explore and learn. The clan is here to assist you.
  2. Become familiar with clan policies and abide by them.
  3. Use Ventrilo when in game to at least hear other members. Being talkative is not a requirement for membership in the clan. Some of us are very quiet and some aren't. There are quiet Vent channels available when needed, but we are a fairly social clan and talk is essential for coordination in battle, so you will need to speak up on occasion.
  4. Tell us a bit more about your character development goals, preferred play style, favorite weapons, typical play schedule, and whether you would be interested in becoming a clan crafter.

Hi all- Just wanted to give some backround of myself for Honor Guard.

Darkfall
Have been playing Darkfall about a month now, I wanted to have at least some skills before looking to join a clan, so I would have something to offer. I took the path of increasing my fighting skills 1st (figured I would have a better chance of staying alive) bought most of my crafting skills and working a little on those now.

Game Backround
My 1st MMO 1999 EQ what a great expierence played for about 8 years and left (PVP system went to complete crap) and went to WOW most are on the fence about this game as was I, but heard good things so tried it. Played for about two years, but just was not the right game for me, I felt like I was in a cartoon, then actually living in a game.

Personal
I'm 33, I heard it's the new 21 :) I work for Hasbro (yes the toy company) and I am a 3rd degree in Shaolin Kempo Kung-Fu.

Looking forward to move up the ranks of Honor Guard, and may your path in life bring you honor & happiness.

Hello all!

My character's name is Khash Lockwell and I just started playing Darkfall recently. MMO wise I started with City of Heroes shortly after its release and have also played WoW, GW, CoV, LotR, Aion, CO and a few others for varying lengths of time. I'm more of a casual player but I'm typically on a few times a week for at least a couple hours at a time when my work schedule allows.

As far as in game goals, my first are to finish grinding 'the thoughtful' quest while I still have noob prot so I don't have to worry about the long slow walk from the bank to the npc. After that I'm going to start working on melee and crafting so I can eventually make the human specific greatsword. I've typically played a paladin type or a pet class (necro, summoner, etc) so my character will most likely take shape in those realms somewhere.

As far as the button masher behind the character goes, I'm 26 and currently live in FL. No kids, just my badass pit/lab mix named Kaylee.

See you all in game :)

Hello, my name is Kargath Redbeard (19), and after looking into this guild I have become very interested in joining. I have actually just started playing using the free trial system, but I am already pretty hooked in this game. Even the occaisonal merciless gankage adds to the atmosphere of danger that meshes well with the beauty of the game's landscape.

In truth, I was actually looking for a Dwarf oriented guild, since Dwarves are obviously the best (no offense to the rest of you). I was attracted to the guild's name "Honor Guard", and the comfortable number of people you guys had recruited. When I read further into your site, I found not a dwarf guild but a disciplined close knit group of players that helped eachother out. I think thats worth more than any dwarf guild, if only by a little bit, hehe.

I hope you guys will accept my humble application, and if so I will try my best to game by your guild's creed.

Hello Honor Guard! I'm a friend of John McG, and was a Celts guildie with him before the merger. I'm 24 years old, and I live in Vista, California, about 30 minutes north of San Diego. My full character name is Besticles Plum (human), and I've played darkfall for ~3 months now. I've spent a fair amount of my energy on crafting so far; I have most skills at ~75 and gathering skills at 100. Witchcrafting is at ~25, spell chanting is at ~35, and polearms is at 60.

I look forward to raiding with you all, and providing assistance in whatever way I can. Thank you.

Hail and well met. My ign is Loco Loco. I'm applying because this seems like a good clan, and not a bunch of greifers. Past MMOs are SWG pre-cu (best mmo ever) WoW, AoC, Anarchy Online, Ashen empires, and many more. Relatively new to Darkfall, been about 4 days now, figured it's time to find a decent clan. Hope I get accepted :3

Feitenisa here,
Casual gamer, been playing for about 6 months, would say I am around mid level or so I believe 336hp at this point.
I mainly harvest and craft recently since the 3 friends I joined with months ago have since moved on.

Looking for a clan that is a bit more forgiving when it comes to hours logged in each week.
My work schedule does not allow me to play regualrly so some weeks I am on others not. Mainly looking for a good mature group of peps to talk to when I can game and occational group up.

I am pretty much self suficient so dont need any items from clan as do many new peps in game, in fact working on finishing bow making mastery, slow porcess but in the mid 30's or so on the mastery part now, also recently took up armor and weps since my friends had did those before both now are approaching 100 as well then on to master those I guess.

Look forward to seeing you all in game some day.
